Maranje Adventures Cancellation Policy: Refunds, Retentions, and Replacements
30+ Days Before Departure:
- If written cancellation is received 30 days or more before departure, Maranje Adventures will retain 5% of the package price to cover administrative costs and refund the balance.
15-29 Days Before Departure:
- For cancellations received 15-29 days before departure, Maranje Adventures will retain 20% of the package price and refund the remaining amount. This gives the company time to try to fill the spot while offering more flexibility to clients.
8-14 Days Before Departure:
- Cancellations received 8-14 days prior to departure will result in a 50% retention of the package price, with the remainder refunded. This allows for some recovery of costs without retaining an excessive amount.
Less than 7 Days Prior to Departure:
- If a cancellation occurs less than 7 days before departure, Maranje Adventures will retain 70% of the package price due to the proximity to the departure date and the likelihood of incurring non-refundable expenses.
Replacement Option:
- If the canceling party finds a replacement at least 5 days before departure and the replacement completes the booking form individually, no retention of funds will take place. If no replacement is provided, the applicable cancellation terms will apply.
Extenuating Circumstances:
- For cancellations due to extenuating circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, natural disasters), Maranje Adventures will consider offering a partial refund or credit toward a future tour on a case-by-case basis, even if the cancellation is within 7 days of departure.
Outstanding Balances:
- If a cancellation occurs within 15 days of departure, outstanding balances will not be required unless Maranje Adventures has incurred specific non-refundable costs. Instead, these costs will be deducted from the refund, ensuring a fair settlement for both parties.
Right to Terminate Participation:
- Maranje Adventures and its agents reserve the right to terminate participation for any person who endangers the safety, well-being, or enjoyment of other participants or staff. In such cases, a pro-rated refund will be offered for the unused portion of the tour, excluding non-refundable expenses.
